The Role:
The role is Lead Planner for the Galeota Expansion Project, GEP. The Lead Planner will be expected to provide lead planning services to other onshore Trinidad projects as needs arise. The Lead Planner will be expected to promote the application of best practices through the development and implementation of the client's planning and scheduling processes and standards. Lead Planner will constructively coach, train and mentor planners within the portfolio of Trinidad Projects. The GEP Lead Planner will report to the GEP Project Services Team Lead. Project Development Stage: Optimize with entry into Define in December 2014.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree: preferably engineering, project management, finance, a similar professional discipline, or equivalent experience
• Extensive planning experience with demonstrated expertise using Primavera planning software & with critical path methodology
• Experience in the analysis, review, challenge, maintenance of project schedules & progress reports; in schedule forensics / claims analysis; in leading / reviewing planning activities and deliverables on projects with multiple stakeholders
• Experience managing or facilitating schedule risk reviews using Primavera's risk software or other recognized applications
• Expertise in schedule mechanics & using schedule development tools, programs
• Ability to learn new software applications & processes, train in same
• Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry & on major projects
• Experience in most / all project development stages, phases through close-out
• Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communications, and influen

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Asset (kit) familiarity: Onshore / Offshore
• Be recognized as a subject matter expert or expert witness in the field of Planning & Scheduling
• Mentoring experience
• Experience in a client organization
• Self-motivation; high level of initiative; able to work independently
• Promote a positive, professional work environment with drive, enthusiasm, respect
• Exhibit high energy with relentless focus on inducing successful team & personal performance in the right ways. Also, on developing others.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject supported by an appropriate professional qualification. Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, supported by awareness of Finance, Procurement, Contracting, and an understanding of EPCM methodologies is preferred
