The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Member of a Perth based multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines procurement, construction and installation activities associated with the Upstream development. The subsea system will initially comprise 9 subsea gas wells and 3 subsea manifolds, linked back to the main offshore production facility via a network of large diameter CRA flowlines and controls umbilicals. Diverless technology is planned for most installation and intervention activities. The export pipeline system comprises a 225km large diameter pipeline from the offshore processing facility to shore. Offshore installation is scheduled to commence in 2013. Reporting to the Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager, this individual has particular responsibility for the management, coordination and technical assurance of all activities associated with the precommissioning of the Upstream subsea pipelines and equipment. Specific Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Coordinate the planning, completion and assurance of contract and procurement packages required for execution of the pre-commissioning scope of work including the development of specific sections of contract documentation.
• Coordination, planning and execution of equipment / methodology trials, testing an qualification.
• Assist in project execution planning, coordinate subsea and pipeline pre-commissioning aspects with the subsea design group to develop a fit for purpose design that optimizes pre-commissioning strategy. Seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned from other projects.
• Support the technical content of all enquiry packages, bid evaluations, contractor selection and quality of service. Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule
• Assist the Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager to develop budget and staffing plan to build a high performance, multi-disciplined engineering and surveillance team with expertise necessary to achieve project objectives. Ensure Chevron technical specialists are effectively utilized.
• Assist Subsea & Pipelines Construction Manager to ensure effective project closeout including documentation at end of each phase
• Provide support during the Subsea design assurance review process.
• Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule. .
• Effective interfacing with subsea design, facilities, drilling, commissioning, and start-up personnel.
• Support project wide safety initiatives including development and implementation of an Incident & Injury free (IIF) culture and Safety Management Plan(s).
• Maintain positive and effective working relationship with other upstream coordinators and project work teams, including Platform Facilities Team, Drilling & Completions Team, Operations Team, Technical Services Team, Business Services Team and Downstream Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline

• In depth knowledge of all aspects of subsea pipelines flooding, gauging, testing, dewatering, drying and conditioning. Knowledge of subsea equipment and umbilicals testing and precommisssioning.
• In depth knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Familiarity and understanding of latest equipment and technologies associated with pipelines precommissioning.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to achieve milestones, work collaboratively and manage contractors and site engineers. Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
10 Years minimum in subsea equipment / pipelines construction and precommissioning / engineering / management for the oil / gas industry, including both Contractor and Operator roles and offshore / site experience.
