The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As a Lead Process Engineer, you will be the Onshore technical focal point for all Process Engineering governance, advice and support within the defined sphere of expertise and responsible to ensure BoD and FEED consistency in design proposals for the onshore packages. You will also provide guidance and work closely with the Operations Teams and Project Teams to maintain plant integrity and support achievement of production goals.

Ensure that Safety is reinforced as the highest priority consideration in conducting plant operations through an emphasis on Process Safety not losing sight of Occupational Health and Safety
Understands commitments and responsibilities under International and Australian standards, for instance Major Hazardous Facilities requirements
Be able to develop a comprehensive understanding of the onshore wide pan-packages processes and the impact on the upstream assets
Detailed understanding of operational and engineering processes and has to work closely with colleagues and contractors across a number of different functional areas
Liaise with onshore packages, contractors, discipline leaders and upstream and downstream assets
Ensure readiness of onshore Process Engineering for Production facilities start-up
Lead, co-ordinate, produce Process Engineering documentation in line with the demands of the varying onshore packages and operations.
Development and/or maintenance of "steady-state" and "dynamic" process simulations for pan-package overview and modeling with an emphasis on (pipeline) upset modes, (control) strategy verification and operator training/start-up assistance
Provide advice and assistance to the Technical directorate to develop/review Process Engineering standards for the company
Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance to run the plant in a safe and optimal manner
Monitor and submit reports on Project Cost Control and Project budget
Assist in the recruitment process and mentor junior Process Engineers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Chemical or Process (Control) Engineering.
Post-graduate qualifications would be considered an advantage.
Extensive experience in supporting Oil and Gas Operations within the hydrocarbon onshore and offshore environment
Exposure to Production Chemistry and Flow Assurance
Fully understand the planning, development and content of onshore packages deliverables including design documents, P&ID development, process design sizing calculations, system philosophies, study reports/technical notes, etc.
Broad understanding of Downstream/Manufacturing and/or EP business processes and principles.
Able to organise and/or carry out hands on technical evaluations in own sphere.
Able to co-ordinate projects and activities and foster team awareness.
Able to manage inter cultural group sensitivities.
Able to communicate with internal and external bodies on technical issues
Knowledge of technical systems and Interfaces such as PLC's, SCADA, and RTU's, modeling programs like OLGA
