The Role:
The Lead Process Engineer is responsible for assuring process engineering quality of process engineering design services to the Nyhamna Asset, from front end studies to execute and operate. The asset is an existing brownfields asset and projects can range from minor modifications to the asset, or major projects. The Lead Process Engineer will coordinate process engineers to provide day to day support to projects from DG 3 (start of FEED) to the execute and operate phases of the project.
Design work in all phases will be completed by the existing EPCM contractor for the asset.

KEY CHALLENGES: -
• People Development: Active coaching/mentoring of staff involved in Process Engineering Team.
• Embedding new ways of working into the organisation
• Obtaining appropriate numbers of skilled staff while meeting and the right mix of local, expat and contractor staff so that it is quickly working efficiently and ready to take on the growing project challenges
• Ensure asset integrity is maintained by focus on multiple projects ongoing on one asset

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Deliver a portfolio of large and small projects at the Nyhamna with Top Quartile Engineering execution, including safety, cost, schedule, and quality from DG-1 through to on-stream.
• Manage the Process Engineering Discipline in the Nyhamna Projects Team
• Proactively work with the EPCM Process Engineering team to keep projects on track and achieve TQ for the portfolio.
• Foster and culture of high focus on process safety aspects of all projects Encourage multidiscipline engagement in shell and in EPCM teams
• Responsible and accountable for key Process deliverable identified in DCAF.
• To represent Projects as Technical Authority Level 2 in Norway.
• Develop and maintain Process Engineering organisational capacity and capability for areas of responsibility.
• Maintain relationship with Operation Support Process Engineering team
• Work closely and harmonise activities with UMP Project Design in Aberdeen and other P&T organisations as appropriate.
• Effective working relations between engineering team and other members of the project team and contractor.
• Responsible for the Process Project Specifications for Nyhamna

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
– Masters in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Broad experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Proven project delivery experience including background in various aspects of EP project FEED execution - design, procurement, commissioning and start-up

Duration longer than 1 year could be possible.
