The Company:
Our client is currently engaged in the development of one of the first LNG Liquefaction and Export facilities in the U.S.

The Role:
The Lead Process Engineer provides technical direction to the process engineers assigned to a project and works jointly with the contractor's lead process engineer to insure that the design complies with the project requirements, specifications and codes. The Lead Process Engineer will provide mentoring for Process Engineers and stay abreast of current process designs and engineering developments through participation in industry technical shows and committees. This position will work in Houston, TX.

Reviews contractor developed documentation:

- Heat and material balances

- Process Flow Diagrams

- Piping and Instrument Drawings

- Plot Plans

- Equipment data sheets

- Vendor drawings

- Vendor shop inspections

- 3 D model

- Start-up / operating manuals
Directs the efforts of the process engineers:
- Assigns areas of responsibility to process engineers assigned to his project

- Provided performance review and feedback on process engineers assigned to his project

- Reviews process groups work product
Participates in HAZOP and HAZID reviews.
Coordinates with other discipline leads.

Supervises assigned employees.

Keeps management informed with respect to the progression of the project.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
External Qualifications:


A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.


Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry of which a minimum of 5 years in LNG processing. Experience in supervising employees.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:

Familiarity and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, including flow charts, cause/effect diagrams, and Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs).

Excellent communication skills due to extensive EPC and vendor interface

Ability to maintain multiple assignments with various deadlines and responsibility levels concurrently

Ability to deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism

Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner, including in-person, telephone, and E-mail

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated proficiency in referencing, researching, reporting, tracking and monitoring of ac
