The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Lead Process Engineer to join the North West Office on a Staff or Contract hire basis.
As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait we are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize the production facilities located at Wafra, Kuwait. The successful candidate will work on a portfolio of small FEED studies for plant modifications, which may lead to detail design scopes of work.
The candidate will be a proven Lead Process Engineer with a demonstrable track record in leading/managing brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects and will help to support and to grow a UK based project engineering design team. The team will execute FEED and detailed design projects as part of an ongoing framework agreement.
Must have held a Lead Process Engineer position on a previous project with responsibility for ensuring Technical delivery.
Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Some travel to Kuwait may be required. The individual will be able to perform all stages of process engineering project delivery including generation and development of HYSYS models.
Responsibilities
• Manage process engineering services that meet companies', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Manage process engineering project requirements.
• Manage process engineering services such as:
o participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures;
o ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
o provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
• Act as the process engineering Lead on specific projects.
• If responsible for a team:
o outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; and
o ensure the required services meet companies, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between company and its Customer's requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.
• If required, assist and support junior personnel within the process engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience
• Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to company and its clients.
• Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and process engineering specific software.
• Extensive technical and practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A recognized and relevant engineering degree.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent
