The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Lead Process Engineer to be based in Perth on a 12 month contract.

The role will undertake the following key responsibilities:
• Carry out the Technical Integrity role for the Process discipline
• Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner
• Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.
• Supervise and co-ordinate all Process Engineers working in the Process discipline group.
• Develop and maintain a quality design threshold for the Process discipline through use of understandable quality procedures
• Ensure all Process work is carried out within established budgets and schedules
• The overall supervision of the Process discipline work
• Technical direction, advice and control of the Process work.
• Liaison with client discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes & standards
• Scope definition, estimation and progress control of the Process engineering activities
• Co-ordination of Process engineering design and drafting
• Complete complex process design activities including simulation
• Co-ordination and preparation of input to Essential Process Documents, as defined by the client/ contract.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) or equivalent
• Professional Qualifications
• Chartered Engineer (IChemE, IEAust or equivalent) or Member of Appropriate Engineering Institution
• 10 years minimum experience in Oil & Gas
• High level of computer literacy
• Good knowledge of process simulation packages such as HYSYS or PRO 11
• Approved Hazop Chairman (desirable)
• Proven leadership skills.
