The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Purchasing Business Office (PBO) process team is focused on ensuring that Production Purchasing and Aftermarket’s policies, processes and procedures are up to date and represent good practice. A key focus of the team is to ensure that over time the current procedures and processes are updated to ensure that they provide guidance and support for the UK and local market purchasing teams. Our Client is introducing a new Process Management tool, IMS, which is being used to reflect the key work systems across the organisation and help users navigate to the appropriate process and work instruction for the activity they're undertaking. The team is also working closely with Internationalisation Purchasing project teams with SME support to help ensure that the Purchasing function is able to support the company’s international operations. This involves working with the GBE (Global Business Expansion) project teams to assist with an impact analysis for the desired operating model, to provide SME knowledge of our clients purchasing environment so that local purchasing practices and documentation within market are appropriate to that region, and ensure that we meet our company control requirements. Additionally the team provides support for the Purchasing teams on specific projects to ensure that best practice is followed. This activity also involves joint working with our colleagues in the Purchasing Transformation team to support the DRIVE programme.
