The Role:
Key Result Areas:
• Primary contact with EPC2 Onshore cost and schedule organization.
• Monitors the Contractor’s project controls performance in the area of scheduling, progress monitoring and cost estimating and provide advice as necessary to make certain the Company’s objectives are achieved.
• Provides timely advice on cost and schedule impact of changes, modifications or alternatives by keeping abreast of engineering, procurement and construction and maintain project trend and change order log.
• Prepares all required cost and schedule reports.
• Reviews the Contractor’s procedures for estimating, scheduling and project controls and modifies as necessary to meet the Company’s objectives.
• Takes the lead in preparation and review of EPC Contractor’s cost estimates, schedules and reconciliation utilizing the Contractor’s system and personnel required.
• Provide direct guidance to the business functions, i.e. Project Controls, Contracting and Scheduling.
• Promotes inter-departmental communications and encourages teamwork. Establishes clear communications between the PMTs (Onshore, Venture and Offshore) and contractor organizations.

• Assist PMT in meeting RGEE expectation as required, especially RGEE Element 7 (Management of Change).
• Provides training assistance and guidance to Company’s staff on the EPC2 Onshore PMT.

• Works effectively within established and clearly defined policies and procedures, and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
• Works on large capital expenditure projects in a highly dynamic team environment that has tight-deadlines, high pressure and visibility, requiring accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills.
Communications and Working Relationships:
• Interfaces with two the EPC PMTs and Venture departments on resolving related issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
• Interacts periodically with FAP Leadership team, statutory auditors, shareholder auditors and other entities to discuss project practices and issues.
• Exhibits team leadership skills, integrity, interpersonal understanding, and self-confidence.
• Manages a number of people and is responsible for the development and mentoring of the staff.
Problem Solving/Complexity:
• Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers. Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise.
• Takes initiatives, based on experienced gained, to deliver timely and cost effective service.
• Provides the resolution of problems in more demanding situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.
• Sets situations/issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations.
Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:
• Works independently within established procedures, plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these.
• Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work; organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency.
• Establishes credibility with peers, subordinates and supervisors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good supervisory skills.
• Minimum of ten (10) years broad experience in the area of cost estimating, scheduling and project controls.
• Minimum five (5) years experience associated with engineering, procurement and construction for oil and gas facilities.
