The Company:
They are an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 625,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. They produce oil and gas in Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Algeria. Exploration activities are ongoing in Angola, Norway, the US Gulf of Mexico, Greenland and in the producing countries.

The Role:
The Houston office is currently seeking a Senior Project Estimator to join the Project Services Group on Chissonga's development team. It is the general responsibility of the Senior Project Estimator to implement overall project Estimates and budgets; and to coordinate the project team’s risk management processes.

The Senior Project Estimator shall ensure that all definition, monitoring and reporting of the project estimates are executed in accordance to the client's corporate requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
•Assess prospect scope and main components to develop consistent ''building block'' estimates for each concept under consideration.
•Development of detailed project cost estimates inclusive of the Incorporation of project complexity factors, and with key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis.
•Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of the hardware elements.
•Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
•Manage reviews and audits of cost estimates.
•Formulate and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
•Experienced with development of capacity factored estimates and location factor adjustments.
•Utilise Technical, Economical, Commercial, Organisational & Political (TECOP) profile to establish appropriate deterministic cost contingency.
•Estimate composed of detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours.
•Incorporation of project actuals to date and detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours for to-go costs.

•Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
•Develop Estimate Basis to document how estimate was developed.
•Manage Estimating Data-Establish process to collect actual cost performance, condition and normalise data for future use, develop metrics and benchmarking information.
•Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPI's.
Primary Interfaces: In performing duties the Senior Project Estimator will liaise closely with the Project Cost Controller and Project Scheduler, the various project teams, and senior management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Technical or Business Degree BSc. level preferred; National Diploma Technical or Business Qualification Minimum
•Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil industry.
•5 years Estimating experience
•Prepared Estimates within W African region for deepwater oil and gas projects
•Ability to operate Questor, excel and or estimating software’s
•Setting up Estimate, code of accounts processes and reporting
•High levels of persistence, curiosity and enthusiasm
•The candidate should be a self-starter, possess strong analytical skills, and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
•Proficient in both written and spoken English
