The Company:
Our Client is a well respected Oil and Gas Operator with operations through out the world. This position specifically will be working in their upstream division providing functional excellence and stake holder management for non operated Business Unit projects across the North Sea.

The Role:
The Lead Project Manager will have three Project Managers reporting into them as well as being responsible for managing projects on an integrated basis across various functional disciplines. The role will require strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally with the key Joint Venture partners.

As a Lead Project Manager your main duties will involve:

• Safe delivery of Non Operated Business Unit projects, on time and within budget.
• Work as the focal point for interaction with the Operator and other Joint Venture partners on all project related issues.
• Determine strengths and weaknesses of the JV Operator and assess where support and challenge are required.
• Taking projects through corporate value assurance processes.
• Providing timely and high quality contributions to internal project management presentations and reports as required.
• Inputting into the financial approval submissions e.g. Investment Committee Papers.
• Provide support all business activities within the UKU Non Operated and Operated Business Delivery Units when project contributions are required.
• Promoting the knowledge transfer within the UK Upstream Asset and support the HPHT strategy.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree level education and preferably a post graduate management qualification with evidence of continuing professional development in project management.
• Chartered member of a professional engineering institution also preferred.
• Proven track record of managing complex upstream projects, both in an operator and non operator capacity.
• Experience of the key skills and behaviours required in order to effectively influence and support the operator and other partners within the UK Non Operated Business Unit portfolio.
• Ability to work within multi-disciplined teams to deliver the desired project outcomes through all phases of project management execution.
• Experienced Value Assurance Framework practitioner.
