The Role:
The main responsibilities of the Lead QA/QC Inspector:

•Coordinate daily activities of discipline inspectors in conjunction with Site Contractors QA/QC team activities.
•Perform verification, assessments and inspection activities in accordance with Contractors’ approved Inspection and Test Plans and Project Site Construction Surveillance Plan.
•Compile and provide weekly Quality reports to the SQL for development of the Project monthly report
•Participate in periodic audits of the CONTRACTOR's QA/QC system as required.
•Monitor quality performance and coordinate Project quality reporting.
•Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed
•Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
•Maintain a site log of all CONTRACTORS generated Deficiency Reports and coordinate their disposition.
•Review Contractor’s Turn Over files for accuracy and adequacy.
•Review CONTRACTOR's procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other technical and quality documents as required. Ensures that all testing requirements identified in COMPANY specifications are addressed in the ITPs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Five (5) years directly relating to field supervision of construction activities in the contract's Scope of WORK e.g. oil, gas and/or petrochemical projects.
•AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI or approved equivalent certifications or other accepted qualifications.
•Working knowledge of oil and gas quality practices and international codes (ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, ISO 29001 and ISO 10006).
•Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (i.e. ASME, AISC, ASTM, API, AWS, NACE, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ISA, etc.).
•Must be able to read, interpret and communicate (both written and verbally) detailed technical concepts in English.
• Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word; MS Excel; Lotus Notes; etc).
