The Company:
Our Client one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
The Lead Riser/Flexible Engineer will be part of the Project subsea engineering team and will be assigned specific responsibilities commensurate with his particular experience, including support to Subsea Engineering Manager with his various responsibilities.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives: •
• Input to project planning, design and execution activities
• Review URF Contractor deliverables for compliance with Project requirements and ensure comments are properly returned within required timescales
• Management of engineering specialists who are providing particular input to the work
• Manage the interfaces with the FPSO contractor, regarding design data and schedule.
• Risk Management and EHS activities to ALARP standards
• Ensure that all subsea engineering activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations
• Input to budgets and AFE level cost estimates for subsea activities
• Manage interface with IVB
• Provide offshore supervision for subsea activities
• Responsible for all contractor interfacing
• Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility are adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future Company operations worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer
Extensive relevant industry experience. Relevant direct experience of flexibles and riser design and construction, including experience as a project engineer with operating companies.
Extensive knowledge of subsea installation methods
Significant flexible riser design experience within career in water depths greater than 1000 meters. Direct Experience for Turret moored and in west Africa is useful
Demonstrated technical responsibility and commercial awareness with deepwater developments
Detailed knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ISO and API and DNV codes) for Flexible riser design and manufacture.
Developed technical/engineering management and interpersonal skills
Awareness and sensitivity to multinational exposures and cultures
