The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. Our Client has operations in over 130 countries and has more than 95,000 employees worldwide.

The Role:
To ensure that occupational and operational safety activities in support of the Project meet the standards required by the Client and regulatory authorities.
(The role complements that of the Technical Safety Engineer which is responsible for the Loss Prevention and Safety Engineering aspects of the project).

Activities:
• Assisting contracts engineers in preparing the occupational and operational scope within ITTs for EPCI contracts
• Reviewing tender submissions and completing the occupational/operational safety evaluation of the same.
• Carrying out audits of pipe mills, fabrication yards, vessels, contractors and sub-contractors premises etc.
• Interfacing with and monitoring the performance of project CDMC(s)
• Supervising the Shetland SHE Team Leader,
• Providing cover for the Shetland SHE Team Leader, Shetland Safety Officer and Shetland Site Rep,
• Coordinating the compilation of safety statistics for the project,
• Monitoring the quality of accident and incident reports from Client and Contractor personnel and ensuring that these are to the required standard.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experienced Safety Professional.
• Experience of pipeline construction both on and offshore.
• Experience of Offshore / Subsea Construction.
• Experience of Onshore Construction.
• Experience of CDM regulations.
• Experience of preparing and analysing incident reports and safety statistics.
• Current full driving licence.
• Flexibility regarding work location and extensive travel.
