The Company:
Our client is a large EPC contractor, currently working on some of the worlds largest Oil & Gas projects.

The Role:
• Conducting design reviews including HAZOP studies and HAZID/ENVID reviews
• Preparation of basis of design philosophy documents covering fire and blast protection, fire and gas detection and passive fire protection
• Perform consequence modelling of fire and blast scenarios, hydrocarbon and toxic gas dispersion, ideally using PHAST
• Preparation of scopes of work for sub-contracted work, including QRA, FRA, Explosion Modelling, Fire and Gas Mapping
• Review critically sub-contractors reports
• Preparation of hazardous area schedules and classifications
• Knowledge of international safety standards, in particular LNG and fire protection
• Identification of Safety Critical Elements and preparation of performance standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered engineer (chemical or mechanical)
10 years’ experience in process contracting
Proven experience in lead safety engineering role for FEED and EPC projects in the oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical and refinery sectors.
