The Company:
A major oil and gas operator

The Role:
-Works with team members to plan project tasks.
-Drives alignment and logic into planning by recognizing logic errors.
-Recognizes when physical circumstances or lack of resources will produce sub optimal results and drives resolution within team.
-Drives the team to update plan on a weekly basis and recognizes who needs input and how this affects the whole project.
-Publishes periodic plans ranging from single page summary schedules to detailed task and sub task plans.
-Reports on productivity, manpower and resource utilization and recognizes what format and reporting style best illustrates the problem he or the team has identified.
-Works with other team schedulers as well as contractor's and vendors' schedulers to build and maintain a fully integrated plan/schedule.
-Capable of leading discussions regarding building and updating a plan as well as critiquing the progress against what was planned suggesting ways to improve on progress.
-This position will work closely with experienced engineering and construction personnel to manage the work.
-The candidate will also support the leadership team in communicating to upper management progress in progress reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Candidate must be proficient in P6, Excel and PowerPoint, with extensive background in offshore brownfield construction.
-Demonstrate understanding of how offshore topsides, pipelines are fabricated erected and commissioned.
-Candidate must be familiar with stage gate process of project execution.
-It is expected that the candidate will have excellent personal skills as well as being assertive and capable of demonstrating why it is important to plan and ensure that the team is fully engaged.
