The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Lead Site Document Analyst is responsible for managing the project day to day document control activities at Site and coordinating the overall document control process including monitoring the contractors performance and processes, and reporting issues that could potentially impact final documentation quality to the Document Management Coordinator. The Site Lead Document Analyst is the point of contact for the Client's project team and provides mentorship and leadership to the Company and Contractor Site project document control group.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate and coordinate the management of day to day information flow between the client and contractors
• Ensure compliance with the documented project standards and procedures
• Ongoing evaluation of the contractors information management and document control processes including quality of work, performance and adherence to project requirements
• Review and audit contractors Master Document Register (MDR) and Supplier Master Document Register (SMDR) to ensure compliance with the project Information Management requirements
• Ensure contractor submits documentation pursuant to project requirements
• Mentor and provide leadership to the Company and Contractor document analysts
• Assist the Document Management Coordinator in preparing and developing project plans, procedures, workflows, Master Document Register and Key Performance Indicators as required
• Work with Site Document Analyst to develop and maintain Site processes
• Act as the main point of contact for Site Stakeholders
• Supervise and train document analysts at Site if required
• Identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with smooth project turnover, close-out and records management as requested

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years of overall document control experience in the oil and gas industry
• At least three years in a site document control supervisory position
• Mobilization to Site, rotations
• Travel between Site and Calgary as required
• Attention to detail
• Superior organizational, coordination and effective communication skills
• Conflict resolution, time management and team management skills are essential
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and construction technical terminology in the oil and gas industry
• Experience in EDMS systems such as DM, FileNET, Documentum, POL, etc.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities
