The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
• Responsible for Site Based planning activities for the Darwin LNG development of onshore facilities so that they meet the Company's requirements.
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
• To provide a complete planning, control and monitoring service to the onshore project facilities team, covering all contractors and associated licensors/sub-contractors. Ensure company planning procedures are implemented and adhered to
• Closely liaise with the Lead Onshore Planner to ensure that the company objectives are being met by the EPC contractor
• Closely monitor all aspects of the EPC schedule, appraise & advise the package managers of progress and trends; make recommendations for preventive or corrective action in the event of any deviations from the program.
• Present clear and concise planning reports / documentation on a regular basis, this would include bar charts and networks, man-hours loading, S-curves and productivity reports.
• Attend progress/Co-ordination meetings and discuss planning items, communicate meeting outcomes as appropriate to the team members
• Provide an independent assessment of individual contractors progress and communicate accordingly to project team members
• Assist the Operations team in development of a completions/systems handover and commissioning schedule
• Provision of effective Construction Planning and Co-ordination of the Darwin Site project planning team inclusive of contractors, licensors and sub-contractors
• To ensure that planning activities have satisfactory incorporated the requirements of project and appropriate regulations
• Develop and maintain the overall Darwin Site onshore integrated schedule which forms part of the Onshore Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Perth.
• Maintain close integration with Project Services groups in other onshore locations and input as required.
• Liaise with the contractors and associated licensors/sub-contractors planning engineers; with regards to the status of agreed deliverables
• Co-ordinate site schedule interfaces with other members of the Project Services team, ie cost team
• Ability to interpret documentation and drawings and apply to the Integrated Master Schedule
• Demonstrated understanding of Onshore Engineering principles
• Strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of project management principles
• Strong understanding of procurement and contract processes
• Excellent understanding and demonstrated knowledge of schedule risk concepts and techniques
• Excellent understanding and demonstrated knowledge of onshore LNG Facilities Construction techniques and methodologies
• Mentor site based planners in scheduling techniques, technical knowledge, project management principles and encourage best practice
• Encourage site based planners to meet their performance goals and project team goals
• Provide constructive feedback to site based planners on their performance
• Appreciation of a multi-cultural working environment and foster team work
• Create and maintain positive relationships with the Ichthys project team members in regards to Project Services

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field, or min 10 years planning in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and Pertmaster Risk Analysis software.
• Microsoft Office products
• Broad understanding of facilities engineering and Project Control issues without being a specialist.
• Highly developed cross cultural influencing skills for work with subcontract staff of varied nationalities and backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
