The Company:
A major Oil and Gas Operator for a brownfield debottlenecking (DBN) project

The Role:
The Lead Static Equipment Engineer is responsible for the supervision, control and proper coordination of all Static Equipment engineering works, including Basic and Detailed engineering works for the project.
The Lead Static Equipment Engineer shall supervise and guide Engineering Contractor for all aspects of Static Equipment for the FPSO.
He/she shall ensure, for his/her discipline, that SOR, Project Specifications and Procedures, Company General Specifications and international codes are well followed for the design of the modifications/integrations to be performed on the FPSO in the frame of the Project

Ensure timely delivery, review and approval of studies and documents under his/her responsibility to enable the procurement, fabrication and construction/installation activities to progress timely.
The position requires to be informed of all engineering, procurement, fabrication activities.

Ensure close coordination with Field operations (brownfield project).

Participate in the technical evaluations of the E+P and EPCI bids.

Position will be based in E+P Contractor’s main engineering offices, with missions to other locations (including in particular Angola and Suppliers premises).
Part of the engineering activities will be executed in Angola (part of the Project Local Content), which will be an important challenge.
The Static Equipments Basic and Detailed engineering activities are fundamental in the safe and timely delivery of the Project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification : Chartered engineer

Professional Experience (number of years) : 15 minimum

Experience as Static Equipment engineer : (number of years) : 15 minimum

Previous experience working for a reputable contractor at FEED or detailed design level for offshore projects. He shall have been in the role of Senior Static Equipment Engineer responsible for a critical Static Equipment design.
Previous FPSO design experience preferred. Whilst previous experience in an Construction and Installation role is beneficial, the majority of the Static Equipment Engineer’s experience should be in a design role. Good overall knowledge of offshore Static Equipment design practices and specifications are essential including standards.
A good overall understanding of the Static Equipment engineering scope of work during Basic and detail Engineering and how the Static Equipment design impacts on the overall FPSO / project design is necessary. Should be able to work autonomously with proactiv
