The Role:
Lead Structural Engineer/Assistant Discipline Manager
Permanent
London
£80,000 to £90,000

My client, a leading EPC company, are currently recruiting for a Lead Structural Engineer/Assistant Discipline Manager to join their team at their London office. The successful candidate will ideally be a chartered engineer with a flair for man management.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for preparation of CTR’s and input to estimates (MTO’s etc.) and for weekly reporting of progress against the CTR’s
• Co-ordinate the assigned discipline engineers/designers within the group ensuring adequate staffing, technical quality and timely work performance. Assist in recruitment of discipline manpower as required.
• Ensure the co-ordination of the work with other disciplines on all multi-discipline projects
• To ensure that the work allocated is completed in compliance with Line Managers requirements including work of others in team
• To provide guidance and leadership in technical matters and to ensure that his group are aware of and are working to current engineering standards and procedures
• Ensure that discipline project files are prepared and maintained in accordance with project procedures
• Endorse discipline timesheets prior to being submitted for approval
• To coach less experienced members within the team to assist with their development
• Carry out single and multi-discipline checks and reviews
• Review and comment on vendor information and take part in inspection and testing

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Offshore topside/jacket experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer
