The Company:
A Major Oil and Gas EPCM client, CBD based office, working on major projects worldwide with a focus on Western Australia.

The Role:
As Lead Structural Engineer for the Power Station you will be accountable for:
• Overall supervision of structural engineers.

• Technical competence of structural personnel.

• Forecast requirement for structural engineering resources, and allocate those resources.

• Structural design integrity of work scope and maintenance of standards.

• Identify structural software necessary to enable structural group to function effectively.

• Prepare structural discipline manhour estimates to perform project tasks.

• Check compliance with Alliance QA/safety/environment goals.

• Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule.

• Evaluate new technology advancements against existing design standards and revise where applicable.

• Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives.

• Identify and review new technology development which could be applicable in providing more cost effective facilities.

• Technical supervision of project designated structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and discipline specific software.
- Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Approximately 10 years experience
- Additional preferred experience in the area of power generation structures
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Substantial technical and practical experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
