The Role:
The Aasta Hansteen field is located approximately 300 km west of Bodø on 1300 m water depth in harsh weather conditions. The field development consists of a floating production, storage and offloading(FPSO) platform, with living quarter. The platform hull is a SPAR concept with integrated condensate storage. The condensate will be exported through offloading to shuttle tanker on a regular basis. Rich gas export will be through a new pipeline, Norwegian Sea Gas Infrastructure (NSGI), to Nyhamna, approximately 500 km distance from the Aasta Hansteen field.

The Aasta Hansteen topside is an integrated process, utility and living quarter platform. The gas is processed into rich gas for export to Nyhamna, and undergoes dehydration, hydrocarbon dew pointing and export compression prior to export. Condensate knocked out from the gas is stabilized for storage in the hull storage tanks and off-loading to shuttle tanker. Produced water is cleaned and disposed overboard to sea.
The platform is self-contained with all utilities including power generation.
The Hull is a Spar type with steel catenary risers pulled in to topside through the monopole. The Spar Hull is designed for a total of 16 riser slots, where three initially will be used for production, one will be used for gas export and one slot used for umbilical riser.

Responsibilities:
• Follow up the structural engineering work performed by Topside Contractor to ensure a weight optimal design in accordance with relevant standards and design codes.
• Participate in the planning, preparation and progress monitoring of the engineering studies in order to achieve the required level of quality and timely deliveries.

Main Tasks:
The Lead discipline engineers shall:
• Be responsible for the discipline scope, including quality and progress
• Engage in Risk Identification and ensure commitment in Risk Based follow up principles, hereby ensuring Risk Register is maintained updated, and kept as basis for
technical follow up as well as examination activities
• Be responsible for review of relevant documents from contractor, in light of the priorities based on project risk picture
• Ensure involvement and alignment of technical requirements and solutions with respective leading advisors in the base organization within their area of responsibility, as
applicable (e.g. deviations from requirements or new technology)
• Ensure operation involvement related to HSE, operation and maintenance aspects
• Ensure experience handling to and from the base organization on a continuous level
• Verify weight estimates within the discipline
• Give input to baseline updates within each discipline
• Be involved in handling of non-conformances/dispensations, changes and VOR’s within respective discipline
• Participate in Bid clarification and vendor selection process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience from project development/execution
• Extensive knowledge within Clients governing documentation
• Experience with engineering contractors

• Ability to understand the value chain and project totality
• A team player, with good co-operational- and communication-skills
• Structured, systematic and target driven with well-defined goals
• Multidiscipline understanding
