The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Small controls/distribution engineering delivery team (typically including Company/Eng Services Provider project/discipline engineers and 3rd party/QC inspectors)

Job Purpose: •
The Lead Subsea Controls/Distribution Engineer will be responsible for the overall delivery of the controls and distribution system including: planning, development and execution
Supporting the Wells team with the controls aspects of the IWOCS work scope
Interface management typically with the URF, Umbilicals, Wells and FPSO delivery/operation teams as appropriate.
This role will work within the Subsea Delivery Team and maintain a close interface with the Asset and operations team to ensure a reliable and fully integrated solution

Responsibilities / Key Objectives: •
Subsea controls planning, design and execution activities
Contractor management and progress reporting
Risk Management and EHS activities to ALARP standards
Ensures that all subsea engineering activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations
Provides offshore supervision for subsea activities
Responsible for interface management
Responsible for the oversight of subsea controls specification and services requirements in accordance with company procedures
Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured

Financial Responsibility:
In accordance with the project Delegation of Authority

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience as a Lead controls engineer, preferably gained with operating companies and a extensive total subsea controls experience.
Extensive knowledge of subsea controls/distribution equipment, and associated installation procedures
Demonstrated lead technical and delivery management experience with deepwater developments
Capability to lead a small team of up to 7 people
Awareness and sensitivity to multinational exposure and cultures
Excellent verbal, written and aural communication skills
Good networker and able to work effectively within a team environment
Ability to work proactively and on own initiative
Ability to take responsibility, to plan and to manage tasks through to completion

Seek ways to find and apply best practice
Adopt a pragmatic, fit for purpose approach
