Our Client is a global Energy Leader with a strong commitment to Honest and Ethical Business Practices within the Oil and Gas Industry. Our Client operates as an independent energy company. It has four segments: Oil and Gas, Syncrude, Energy Marketing, and Chemicals. The Oil and Gas segment explores, develops, and produces crude oil, natural gas, and related products.
•Strive to create a safe workplace and protect the environment
•Work closely with other members of the Subsea Engineering Group, Asset Managers & operating teams and with key contractor representatives to plan and successfully execute all subsea control system workscopes
•Liaise closely with the Subsea Engineering Coordinator to identify, prioritise and resource the Company's subsea controls support requirements
•Manage and coordinate the activities of the appointed Subsea Controls Support Contractor(s)
•Monitor and control performance of subsea controls workscopes to ensure that they are completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
•Provide support (and Stand-in cover) to the Technical Authority in respect of technical issues arising in connection with the Company's subsea controls systems and their operation
•Ensure work is completed in compliance with corporate standards, SESR policies & procedures and industry regulations
•Contribute to in-house/external engineering studies and projects
•Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal and external contacts and hold regular feedback meetings with stakeholders in subsea controls workscopes
•Provide a key interface between operations teams (onshore/offshore), the Subsea Operations Group Controls team and contractor representative(s), to deliver quality and effective technical solutions within agreed budgets
•Ensure that subsea controls documentation is collated and maintained in an accurate and current status and is available to relevant personnel and external organisations as required – this includes Engineering Change management documentation
•Take ownership of the continuous development of personal knowledge and technical expertise.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree [or equivalent] in an engineering discipline
ESSOW Level 2
Offshore Legislation for Offshore Reps Course
Experience of subsea operations / engineering, practices and techniques within the oil and gas industry
Knowledge of associated technical disciplines
Experience of effectively managing high-value engineering/technical projects and contracts
Fully familiar with UK industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry
Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally
