The Company:
Our client, an international major oil and gas operator, seeks a Lead Subsea Pipeline & Riser Engineer.

The Role:
• The Lead Subsea Pipeline and Riser Engineer is responsible for development of specifications, design, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of subsea export pipeline, production flowline and riser systems, end terminations and foundation structures.
• The position is also responsible for preliminary design for optimum routing, integrity, installation and stability as well as interface and risk management for all project phases.

• The Lead Subsea Pipeline and Riser Engineer will also manage interfaces with the Pre-FEED, FEED & execution contractors and ensure compliance with internal COMPANY standards, industry guidelines and applicable government codes and regulations.
• The position will be a key focal point in the subsea team responsible for management of technical and commercial aspects of contracts as well as interfaces between equipment vendors and various project stakeholders including subsea (trees, manifolds, jumpers, etc.), topsides, operations, and umbilicals.

Travel:
• The position is based in Houston, TX, USA, but will require up to 30% domestic and/or international travel during the engineering phases, increasing to 50% during installation and commissioning activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven track record of driving incident free HES culture 15+ years experience and knowledge of detailed design, manufacture, testing, offshore installation, and commissioning of shallow and deepwater subsea pipelines, risers and subsea systems.
• Experience representing major operator Experienced with applicable industry and regulatory codes, standards, and recommended practices of subsea systems (control systems and interfacing equipment).
• Requirement to obtain offshore medical clearance and offshore survival certification

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Capable of serving as Pipeline Lead on projects, including generation of detailed functional specifications and bid packages, performing bid analysis, review of design and test documentation, interface management, QA/QC and testing oversight, integration testing, pipeline installation and commissioning.
• Demonstrated ability to drive incident free HES culture. Demonstrated experience in selecting/managing large contracts; monitoring and approving contractor's plans, procedures, and work output; knowledge of contract management procedures.
• Demonstrated capability of working as part of a multi-functional asset team, including vendor management.
• Ability to work with little supervision. Self-directed and proceeds on own initiative. Strongly proactive.
