The Role:
Plan the workload for the group
Prepare CTRs and man-hour estimates
Execute technical duties in a competent and professional manner and in accordance with company procedures
Ensure work is completed on Schedule and within budget
Ensure project deliverables are generated
Review and check the work of others
Manage co-ordination and execution of the groups work activities
Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues
Provide added value to the development of the discipline / function
Direct sub-ordinate engineers in their work
Compile regular reports on progress
Have responsibility for the technical and work efficiency performance of others within the discipline / function
Provide engineering and technical direction for drawing office personnel
Provide support / feedback to the head of safety discipline

Prepare engineering concepts and issue into detail design
Carry out / manage manual and computer analyses for firewater hydraulic analysis, dispersion modelling, explosion over-pressure, escape / evacuation
Prepare technical data for construction and commissioning
Prepare construction and commissioning procedures
Review and comment on vendor information and assist with inspection and testing
Carry out single and inter-discipline checks and reviews
Review and check subordinate engineers work
Review weight estimates
Attend meetings as and when required
Answer site, Verification / PFEER, client queries
Review and advise on client installation QRA and related studies
Review and advise on client safety case / EERA / ESSA revisions
Prepare / revise client Verification / PFEER examination schemes and performance standards
Assess changes / impacts on existing safety systems
Participate in project risk workshops
Provide input to EPIC estimates and schedules
Organise / attend / chair HAZOP / HAZID / SIL and other safety reviews
Prepare safety input to tender submissions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
North Sea Oil & Gas experience
Brownfield and greenfield experience
Offshore technical safety experience
Educated to degree level in relevant engineering discipline preferred.
Good team working
Good organisational
Pro-active attitude
