The Company:
Our client is a leading oil & gas operator.

The Role:
The service holder is responsible for all the activities related to the engineering, construction, installation, inspection
and tests of Topsides PVV (Piping/Valves/Vessels) within the FPSO team, and represents the Company technical
authority for this discipline (Topsides PVV). The job holder organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works
relative to the discipline as well as works and studies performed by the FPSO Contractor/Subcontractors whom he is
the contact point.
The service holder shall ensure that all deliverables (both internal and external) related to the discipline are timely
issued and fitted for purpose. He shall also anticipate reviews by other FPSO or Corporate specialists and will organize
and coordinate all corporate engineering reviews and audits, as necessary. He will also ensure that all corporate
engineering reviews and audits are performed in due time.
The service holder will actively liaise and collaborate with the other Discipline Lead Engineers for all the interfaces and
engineering issues related to PVV. As required, the service holder shall also ensure that all engineering interfaces with
other concerned packages (SURF/SPS) are duly dealt with and managed in coordination with the FPSO Interface
During the construction and installation phases and with regards to his discipline, the job holder will drive and control
the works related to his discipline on site supervision, in close cooperation with Company Site representative on these
yards, and shall remain the correspondent for any engineering occurring problem, for any advice to be given or
technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
The service holder is responsible for ensuring that the Topsides PVV fit for the intended purpose, are operable,
maintainable and reliable - within the budget and schedule for completion.
The service holder reports to the Topsides Engineering Leader.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules &
requirements and for implementing HSSE rules within his area of responsibility.

1. To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, respect the Project HSSE requirements and ensure application of HSSE rules and requirements within his scope
of responsibility.
2. To be informed of discipline-related international norms and standards, Company Rules & Specifications, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project, as appropriate.
3. To ensure that HSSEQ issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the systems-related technical documents and deliverables.
4. To supervise and support the discipline engineers (if any) placed under his responsibility, organising their tasks and validating their developments and results.
5. To issue and maintain all the necessary technical documentation related to the discipline.
6. To interface actively with other discipline engineers on all engineering, constructability, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work.
7. To liaise as necessary, in close liaison with FPSO Interface Engineer, with the other Package Engineers for the management of interfaces related to the discipline.
8. To supervise, follow-up and control Contractor’s Topsides PVV engineering deliverables, ensuring their timely review and comment and ensuring their compliance with Project
contractual and technical documentation and requirements with the objective to ensure respect of the schedule and costs without impacting required level of quality & safety.
Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues...
Ensures liaison with Contractor(s) with regards to discipline-related matters.
Participates to weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Contractor as appropriate.
Ensures that contractual scope of work is duly and timely performed by Contractor(s).
Ensures follow-up / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor(s) wrt his
discipline and analyses/reports drifts that could occur and propose remedial solution.
9. To define the qualification and test programmes, to participate in the installation and tests, to
analyse results, deciding on any changes or complement in the program.
10. To participate to project reviews as requested by COMPANYS’s referential (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR...) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his discipline.
11. To assist Company Representatives in the supervision of works related to his discipline at fabrication sites, and participate to the resolution of any related-discipline problem occurring
during the Execution Phase, to review and give recommendation on technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to his discipline.
12. To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
13. To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Topsides Engineering Leader (progress, concerns), and, as a general manner, anticipates problems, optimizes, improves, offers
solutions with regards to his discipline.
14. To ensure confidentiality of all the discipline-related documentation produced (whatever its support)
15. To gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to Topsides Engineering Leader
