The Role:
Provides engineering and technical expertise to the assigned wells team charged with accountability for safe and efficient delivery of asset wells programmes.

Key Accountabilities
• Contributes to delivery of the Business Plan by carrying out the assigned Functional scope of work in accordance with the client's Way and the Internal Control Framework. In particular, this will require :
o Ensures that the requirements of the client'sValue Assurance Framework and Wells Delivery Process are honoured.
o Identifies any compliance gaps to Functional standards, developing options and plans to address them and proposing any dispensations as appropriate.
o Engages local regulatory agencies (principally the EMA and MEEA) to ensure alignment and compliance with the local regulatory requirements.
• Plans and support the delivery of the Well Engineering performance measures and standards for the Wells team in line with the client's Top Quartile Framework.
• Ensures well designs are technically and economically optimised. This includes lifetime operating considerations and also identifying, incorporating and implementing technology advancements.
• Ensures timely planning, design and preparations for the assigned wells-related scope, including ensuring that the required services contracts and materials procurement exercises are in place and ready for execution.
• Prepares well activity cost estimates and AFE documents in accordance with standards and guidelines, including presenting the documents for the required approvals.
• Works to secure well design approval from local and national authorities as appropriate.
• Identifies risks and opportunities, while communicating, mitigating and supporting the management of same.
• Supports the performance management of service contracts including safety, preparation of specifications, tendering, performance delivery, maintaining expenditure controls and reporting.
• Prepares detailed procedures, work instructions, engineering studies, etc. as necessary to support the well engineering operations.
• Monitors drilling operations and implements techniques to ensure optimization of the operation.
• Ensuring all work processes and procedures conform to the client's Standards and meet required level of Quality Assurance.
• Ensuring proper documentation before and after well activities including drilling design documents and detailed end of well reports.
• Conduct post job reviews with service contractors as appropriate for performance and operations improvement.
• Preparation and review of end of well reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University Engineering Degree preferred
• Workover experience
• Well completion and intervention design and implementation.
• Sand control techniques and application.
• Gravel pack design and implementation; gravel/screen sizing and specification.
• Tubing stress analysis; tubing and casing design; material selection.
• Well test design.
• Production Operations.
• Production Technology
• Contracts management.
• HP/HT experience
• IWCF certificate preferred
• Knowledge and operational experience with an operating (as operator) oil/gas company required.
• Technical skills, knowledge, and experience to perform the job with a high level of accomplishment and minimal supervision are required.
• Networking / relationship Building (especially with offshore operations personnel)
• Teamwork / team building (all work involves input from many different sources)
