The Role:
Role Description
Working within the Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness Division, the Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for leading the development and management of a portfolio of learning & development programs and solutions for internal partners across the business. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at all levels of the organization from the front line to senior corporate leaders. This role requires someone with diverse experience in learning design, project management, and the creative talent to truly do it all, including: partnering with the business to identify needs and define projects, effectively managing the entire design process, building creative and engaging learning materials, and delivering top quality programs enterprise-wide.
The position is located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead learning design projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, through design, development, and implementation; providing clear roles and responsibilities through all phases
• Ensure learning programs align with business strategy, goals, core values and Sadara culture
• Establish partnerships with facilitators, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learners to gain insight, identify needs and design learner-centric solutions
• Use learning design tools and templates to ensure consistency and timely progress on project milestones
• Determine the appropriate learning delivery vehicle(s) to achieve the desired result, within the context of the overall project goals (i.e.: facilitator-led, leader-led, on demand e-learning, webinar, etc.)
• Develop materials that are creative, engaging, relevant, appropriate to course topic and delivery method
• Gather feedback and review both new and existing training programs, determine the need for improvement and work to implement change
• Deliver exemplary internal customer service through strong professionalism and ownership of assigned learning projects
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration
• Coach others on group facilitation skills and serve as facilitator on select programs, as required
• Achieve successful results by focusing on outcomes that optimize the stakeholder experience and apply a sense of urgency in efforts to create value for the company
• Build effective working relationships and collaborates as a team player, using positive flow of communication when voicing concerns
• Partner with HR colleagues throughout company, as necessary, to collaborate and align development initiates with HR programs and services.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment, teamwork and communication by engaging key stakeholders in defining training and development strategy and the execution of programs.
•Monitor financial performance and commit resources based on analysis of expected costs and benefits and understanding of company objectives. Achieve planned objectives with budgeted resources.
• Stay current with talent development products, vendors, services, etc. that are available in the marketplace to support the function; attend international/regional conferences and seminars.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities in relation to business goals

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate Profile & Required Qualifications
• Position requires a BA, or equivalent; an advanced degree in Instructional Design, Organization Development; Business Administration (MBA) a plus.
• Experience in professional or leadership development a must; can demonstrate an understanding of best learning/teaching/OD/learning management system/eLearning practices; has 5+ years instructional design and delivery experience
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Project Management, and Power Point, plus other applications that include Articulate/Storyline 2, Lectora and SAP/UPerform.
• Ability to apply technical writing and editing skills on material developed both in and outside of department.
• Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving and data analysis.
• Demonstrates team process skills for group task accomplishment.
