The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The ABU has developed a Subsurface Data Management Strategy, which will be implemented by a program of work that will combine a range of work requests and CPDEP projects. It will incorporate inflight projects touching Subsurface Data Management, and will also incorporate and prioritise new projects that arise during execution of the Program. A large part of the program will involve the phased deployment of data solutions by the Upstream Technical Computing function over a three year schedule to implement systems of record for all subsurface data types, as prioritized by the business. Each Data Solution project will establish a single, trusted location for each data type, with the necessary standards, processes, and organisational capability to sustain it.

This role will work within the SDMP to build a strategy for the management of legacy subsurface data, and then manage the implementation of that strategy.

Legacy Data Strategy
• Create and implement the Legacy Data Management Strategy for the SDMP
• For each Data Solution, assess and plan the loading of legacy data for that solution
• Manage the Legacy Data Remediation team
• Ensure quality control management and metrics are used to monitor and cross check loading of Legacy Data across different databases
• Work closely with ABU, ETC and associated corporate projects to ensure strategy alignment Legacy Data Team Management
• Ensure the team is resourced and skilled to meet the requirements of the business strategy roadmap • Manage the day to day legacy data loading and management tasks carried out by the team Stakeholder and Relationship Management
• Liaise closely with the subsurface practitioners to recognize and capitalize on opportunities for legacy data management
• Liaise with key stakeholders in change management activities Teamwork
• Develop effective working relationships with project team members and business stakeholders
• Resolve issues on professional terms and escalate as required to ensure successful project delivery
• Foster a “can do” attitude across project team members and business stakeholders
• Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Geoscience and/or IT/IM
