The Role:
For each assigned well project:
•ensure timely delivery of optimum well design concepts and programmes.
•provide and obtain challenge for well designs, stimulated by DtL techniques, benchmarking, etc..
•provide detailed design, planning, cost estimation and front end cost management optimised for standardisation and within economic parameters
•provide timely support to the Well Delivery Rig Team during execution stage

•Exemplary HSE leadership and management, delivering no harm to people or the environment.

Planning and Organisation
•Timely delivery of optimum well design concepts and programmes.

Operations
•Support to the Well Delivery Rig Team for the efficient execution of the well programmes; including work planning, application of DtL, communication, risk identification, risk mitigation and contingency management

Dimensions
Member of Central Team of Life Cycle Well Design Engineers assigned to well projects generated by Development Engineering teams working within the Assets. You will execute well design projects with varying technical complexity and also spanning various technologies.
No subordinates: however your professional mastery will allow you to coach/monitor/check the work of lesser experienced engineers working in the design teams.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have been educated to HND/HTS/Graduate in Engineering or Physical Science or equivalent and will have Well Engineering experience, including assignments as Well Design Engineer, Well Operations Engineer, Well-site Operations Engineer and preferably also as Drilling Supervisor (DSV). The LCWE role requires substantial competence in well planning; HSE awareness and management; current approved well engineering computer packages; casing design; cost and risk estimating; working with project, rig and asset teams, all these ideally in the subsea and platform environment.
You will be an excellent team player possessing proven strong liaison and communications skills.
Knowledge of project management techniques and working in broad multi-disciplinary teams will be required, as will an appreciation of HAZIDs, QRA and other risk management tools.
