The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:

KEY ROLES
Reports to the Project Lifting Authority
Manages the day to day lifting operations on site
Verify and approve the non-routine lifting plans at site
Monitor competency levels on site
Ensure the equipment used is suitable and up to Company approved standards
Implementation of recognised best lifting practises across region.
Ensure Company global lifting standards (UDP) are used across SD2 sites
Assist Company in achievement of “0” lifting incidents

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

Assist and support the Project Lifting Authority to achieve the project objectives
Promote the SD2 lifting procedure & Objectives and ensure compliance to Company UDP for lifting operations, through coaching of site team, contractors and our service providers
Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively engaging the Company site team and construction contractors with actions that contribute to delivering on Company’s HSE expectations
Promote surveillance of all lifting activities in accordance with the project quality documents
Ensure Contractors lifting personnel are competent and with appropriate records and KPI’s
Surveillance of the contractor’s competency assessment process for personnel undergoing trade tests.
Ensure that the Hold & Witness points and other requirements identified within lift Plans are fully implemented by the contractors
Determine, track and report lifting related Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Communicate all potential lifting related risk and improvement issues to the Lifting Authority, Project Managers, construction managers and HSE team
Take ownership of lifting related execution risks and drive them to acceptable levels
Ensure that lifting related Action Items are addressed and closed in a timely manner
Participate in various site meetings and initiatives as required by the Lifting authority, Project Managers, construction and HSE managers
Lead and/or coordinate weekly / monthly / quarterly lifting meetings with contractor, and site team
Lead and/or participate in quality reviews, investigations and site audits
Demonstrate a commitment to the development of Azerbaijani nationals
Demonstrate basic skill and character prerequisites on an on-going basis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BASIC SKILLS
Proven Team Leader
Ability to perform effectively in a team environment, inclusive of demonstrating collaborative, cooperative, flexible, adaptable, respectful, and tactful personal characteristics
Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy
Confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issues
Competent in effectively communicating in both verbal and written English
Ability to advise Delivery Team to stop work if significant issues arise in meeting Technical Specification requirements or there is a likelihood that safety is compromised
Ability to develop and implement lifting Management System documentation
Physical ability to walk, climb, and otherwise access construction work locations
Ability of auditing the contractors, service providers in order ensure contractors work as per contract requirements

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
BP level 3 – specific training for Site Lifting
