The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Currently recruiting for a Lifting Specialist. The primary function of this position is to promote safe handling & lifting operation referring to HSE policy, logistics procedure and international standard.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

-Provide expertise in day to day handling and lifting activities for the site(s), which include: categorizing lifts, hazard identifications and risk assessment, technical review (lifting procedures and organizations), selection of equipment/suitability of contractors' equipment, toolbox talk, post-job debriefing, and assessment of completed job.
-Promote safe handling & lifting operation referring to HSE and logistics procedure and international standards.
-Review engineering calculations for complex & complicated lifts.
-Create inventory of all lifts, categorizing critical and non-critical lifts and perform risk assessments for lifts
-Approve complicated and complex lift plans and attend the lifts.
-Perform spot condition check and fitness for purpose inspection on lifting appliances, Containers/baskets, and evaluate their utilization on site (in coordination with package managers).
-Provide lifting and handling expertise advice to all Package managers and Company site representatives.
-Assess competences and provide proposal of improvement for personnel involved in handling and lifting operations.
-Participate in the development of training plan for users up to required competence.
-Ensure coaching and mentoring for personnel involved in handling and lifting operations on site.
-Package managers, Company site representative, HSE, shall be in copy of CPLO's monthly report.
-Assess Contractors's handling & lifting organization.
-Develop the Crane & Lifting Superintendent (CLS) function on sites (if applicable, depending on size of operation).
-Develop and maintain up to date handling and lifting procedures/instructions and ensure they are well understood and applied.
-Conduct annual reviews in handling and lifting.
-Participate in all handling and lifting audits. Highlight major findings and see that audit findings are addressed accordingly.
-Review current selection of lifting equipment and standard maintenance with regards to cost effectiveness

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling operations on supervision level
-Broad and good knowledge in handling and lifting appliances & operations
-Working to international standards such as: BS, LOLER, NORSOK, ISO,...etc
-Having experience in Oil & Gas industry and large projects
-Teambuilding awareness, leadership, multicultural awareness, environmental awareness, organization skills, good command of English and computer literate
