The Company:
Our Client is a major Oil and Gas operator and has assets through out the world.

The Role:
The Lifting Technical Authority will be required to provide full technical knowledge and expertise on lofting requirements and standards, working in an independent capacity for lifting safety performance and provide direct support to the development and maintenance of Lifting safety capability.

Other accountabilities are as follows:

• Define the Lifting standards, practices and guidelines.
• Develop and manage lifting segment program including technical reviews and benchmarking.
• Provide safety assurance, risk mitigation and practice conformance through peer review and witnessing all major lifting operations.
• Set the required competence level for relevant posts.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to entity Lifting authorities in both operations and on major projects.
• Share learning and best practices, and drive consistency across segment and ensure conformance with Lifting Technical Practices.
• Continually identify internal and external best practices and drive integration and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant direct technical experience of Heavy Lifting in manufacturing/high hazard industry.
• Experience in the safe management lifting teams/crews.
• Experience of building technical and operational capability in a line or functional role.
