The Role:
To manage and implement all aspects of the supply chain process through knowledge, interpretation and optimisation of existing and future agreements to provide best value for given project.

Responsible for the contract management activities relating to the purchase of LNG, sale of gas, sale of capacity and provision of terminal services. This will encompass a wide range of duties requiring a diverse range of skills. Also, responsible for scheduling and optimising LNG delivery in and gas sent out.

Key Responsibilities;
• Responsible for the efficient and timely management of the contracts as the key contract expert and develops and prepares strategies for resolution of any disputes
• Prepares and proposes scheduling and optimisation guidelines to add value, reduce cost and mitigate risk
• In accordance with the scheduling guidelines, manages the Gas and LNG delivery programmes. ,
• Negotiates, drafts and implements changes to current agreements and new customer agreements to maximise value to the project
• Develops and maintains good relationships with counterparties and acts as relationship co-ordinator
• Ensures systems are in place to efficiently manage the schedule taking into account the contractual constraints (including borrowing & lending, SEC, NBP requirements) from the sellers, buyers and the terminal and where changes are required, scopes systems to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose
• Negotiates and supervises contracts with third party suppliers
• Performs and interprets analysis on contractual performance and scenario development
• Develops, maintains and operates business processes and systems to ensure and demonstrate non-discrimination in dealing with customers
• Supports commercial department in developing regulatory and gas transporter positions and develops strategies for optimising system entry capacity
• Responsible for delivering the short term LNG delivery and gas send out schedule in accordance with the scheduling guidelines
• Maintains close liaison with all Supply Chain Executives to deliver an optimised schedule to minimise risk and maximise value
• Provides on-call 24 hour cover to manage unforeseen circumstances, communicating as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Good first degree (Preferably in a numerate discipline)
- Proven experience in managing complex and high value commercial contracts and the hydrocarbon or logistics sector
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Commercial and risk acumen
- Excellent time management
- Able to deliver under pressure

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Good understanding of the UK gas market or LNG
- Evaluating, developing and running complex or spreadsheet models
- Prior operational experience such as working within a 24/7 operations desk
- Political and cultural awareness, ability to work in an international environment
- Negotiating skills
