The Role:
•Ensuring the CNS helicopter, marine and base costs are booked/accrued into the correct cost centres on a monthly basis and allocated out correctly to end assets/projects based on usage.
•Ensuring the SNS helicopter, marine and base costs are booked/accrued into the correct cost centres on a monthly basis and allocated out correctly to end assets/projects based on usage.
•Produce the monthly logistics report for each area that compares the actual costs to the forecast, and highlights any variances which may exist. This ensures that the logistics costs do not spiral out of control, and also gives an indication of how close to the forecast we have performed and also why certain costs are not in line with the forecast.
•Reconciling the Joint Venture Receivable accounts for the company on a monthly basis, ensuring that any outstanding balances are addressed by the relevant joint venture accountants.
•Preparing the information for the annual Multi-Venture Audit. This involves drawing up an overall reconciliation of logistic costs for the year, and also providing numerous journal samples to the auditors to ensure that the costs have been dealt with in a true and fair manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The post holder should have a relevant finance degree or appropriate work experience.
They should be results focused and have the ability to work largely unsupervised.
The post holder should also demonstrate initiative and be able to recognize, investigate and resolve problems.
The role has a heavy workload at the month end and will result in the post holder working additional hours during this period.
Good communication skills are required since the role involves regular and frequent communication with the Business Analysts, budget holders and JV partners.
Knowledge of the requirements of overhead allocations and joint venture accounting would be beneficial.
Knowledge of the GI SAP system and spreadsheet based reporting tools is also required.
