The Company:
A major French contractor

The Role:
We are looking for a Logistic & Material Manager ready to work in fabrication yard (Fos sur Mer, France)o.
The project is the construction of a Floating Production Unit (FPU).


He will be Contractor Representative for monitoring all the interfaces related to Logistic & Material Management activities at Yards.
Liaising with Home Office and reporting to the Project Procurement Manager, his mission is mainly related to the following:
- Study & familiarize with approved Material Reception, Handover to COMPANY/Construction Contractor, Storage & Preservation Procedures for Project Material / Equipment.
- Coordinate with Material / Equipment Inspections.
- Coordinate with Procurement Manager / Liaise with Vendors / Third Party Inspection Agencies / etc…

He will be assigned first in Poland (2/3 months)until end of June and then he will move to Fos Sur Mer in Construction Contractors’ workshop. He will be available for Spot missions for the material reception since some material will arrive in Fos Sur Mer when he will be assigned in Poland and Vice versa.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Experienced to draft specific Working Instruction draws up for each task related to Logistic & Material Management work
- Familiar with the organization to be set up for the Logistic & Material Management
- Coordinate and interface with other Project Management Team members involved in Logistic & material management to avoid any claim situation and to allow a smooth preparation of the work.
- The Logistic & Material Manager reports to the Project Procurement Manager based in Paris.
- Implement the Material Receiving / Hand-Over System.
- Participate in association with Construction Teams and YARDS Site Manager to the study of:
. The temporary Storage of Material / Equipment at Worksite.
. The transportation, handling and lifting method of Material / Equipment
. Temporary Storage and Preservation of Material / Equipment or Packages.
- Review with Construction Contractor (Ponticelli):
. The HSES requirements for Material Storage and Preservation at Workshops
. The QA/QC Quality, Inspection & Test Plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Familiar with Material Reception, Handling, Storage & Transportation of Project Materials.
- Good experience in Logistic & Material Management in fabrication yards/workshops
- Experience with International Codes and Standards like ASME, API
- Thorough knowledge and experience in various Oil & Gas Projects
- Familiarize with Marian IT Software used for Material Management at site.
- Experience in Storage and Warehousing of Project Material / Equipment at site
- Minimum 5 years of Warehousing experience in Oil and / or Gas Projects.
- Piping material knowledge will be an added advantage.
