The Company:
Our client is a US oil and gas operator, expanding their operations to include the UK.

The Role:
Our client's UK Onshore Shale Gas Team, has recently secured interests in the Midland Valley of Scotland (an operated position in PEDL 162 and a non operated position in PEDL133.
As a result the client's upstream business (UK Onshore Shale) is seeking a Logistics and Contract Manager to add to its team.

Key Responsibilities
• Keen interest in working as part of tight interdisciplinary team
• A proven track record of delivery (ideally with experience in the US, the UK onshore/wider EU)
• A demonstrable interest and understanding of Unconventional Resources
• An enthusiasm for working closely with client's US Shale Experts to understand US logistics and supply chain solutions that are transferable to Europe, with a mind capable of relating this into the UK context and regulatory environment
• Articulate and personable, with the ability and willingness to take time to explain operational activity to regulators and stakeholders
• Self motivated, Enthusiastic, with a high energy work ethic
• Willingness to travel to the US and extensively within the UK
• Ability to handle technical and operational activities simultaneously

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you require the following general and technical qualifications:
General Qualifications
• Knowledge and understanding of traffic management methodology within the onshore exploration industry in order to reduce operational impact
• Competency in operational HSEQ development
• Competency in implementing and maintaining integrated management system in line with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001
• Competency in creating tender documentation and evaluating tenders received in line with best practice principles
• Implementation, maintenance and monitoring of sub-contractor framework agreements and contracts
• Competency in supply chain development and management, preferably in international oil and gas supply chains. Knowledge of procurement and inventory control in a fast moving environment
• Knowledge and understanding of controlling commercial risk within the organisation
• Budget preparation, alignment with corporate P&L, submission
