The Role:
Job Purpose: The role of the Logistics and Warehouse Senior Specialist involves transportation, stock control, warehousing and ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials. The jobholder will be involved in forecasting stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and performance evaluation.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Requirement planning (based on the customer orders and the forecast customer demand and lead times).
• Facilities management, inventory control procedures and perpetual stock verification.
• Monitor and control all materials in transit.
• Transportation (both inward and outwards) and insurance arrangements.
• Approval and control of transportation, material handling and storage costs.
• Preparation of reports to the Finance Department and Management.
• Responsible for internal audit and stock management.
• Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
• Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.
• Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
• Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs.
• Liaising and negotiation with customers and suppliers.
• Analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
• Establish and implement logistics procedures in line with organizational requirements.
• Establish and implement a supply policy and stock management system.
• Manage Logistics staff in line with good organizational practice.
• Act as a focal point for the maintenance and repairs of assets, liaising with the appropriate staff to arrange quality repairs of reported damages in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Degree level education
Minimum 5 years in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of Logistical Systems Planning.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
Ability to review and improve warehouse layout and processes.
Proficient with ERP Systems ideally, Sage and AX Dynamics.
Negotiation skills.

Knowledge of LC & UCP.
Technical knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Stock Management including perpetual Inventory.
Coordinating freight partners including costs and performance Management.
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
Plant and Facilities Management.
