The Role:
The Role:
The Logistics contingency planner is responsible for the development of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) relating to logistic specific activity and facilities. This involves writing specified plans as well as ensuring they are properly resourced and tested. The role will also involve interfacing and supporting the Contingency Planning, Risk, and Operations team members.

Accountable for:
This position reports to the Execution Planning Manager. The Logistics Contingency Planner will act as the focal point for all Emergency Response and Business Continuity related work, ensuring:
Logistics ERPs are developed, resourced, tested and integrated with Project Emergency Response Organisation
Logistic site specific BCPs are developed in conjunction with relevant
Operations Team members, resourced, tested and incorporated within the overarching Project BCP
A robust linkage exists between Logistic Risk, Contingency, Operations Teams and external Project process owners

Responsibilities:
Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
Writing, maintaining and resourcing ERP/BCPs
Rehearsing / testing / costing emergency and business continuity scenarios
Maintaining relevant project wiki pages and mapping tools to support the generation of these plans
Travelling to and gathering information on various locations requiring development of BCPs
Identify risks within the Logistics sphere of control with potential to lead to plan activation
Plan to limit the impacts of potential risks and incidents

Key Interfaces:
Logistics Planning Team
Risk and Interface Management System / Team
Operations managers and contract scope owners
External Project ERP and BCP process owners

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience of operational logistics and logistics planning essential; the incumbent will be well rounded in terms of operational logistics experience
Will be able to work in a team environment and work along with Senior Management requirements and tasks
Well versed in crafting plans and strawman papers to provide realistic costed solutions to complex problems
Previous role conducting Emergency Response/Business Continuity planning/management key
Risk management experience key; well versed in risk management methodologies
Demonstrate a strong analytical approach to problem solving
Experience in compiling reconnaissance reports
Excellent information management skills
Good geographic information management skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and work in other countries
High level of competence in MS Office: Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Strong communication skills; must be able to work to strict deadlines and provide detailed reports.
