The Role:
Logistics Coordinator // Karratha - NOT FIFO // $Competitive // Immediate Start

A logistic’s Coordinator is required to join the Supply Chain Department based in Karratha – Kings Bay Supply Base. This is a casual contract (approximately 2 months, but may be extended) reporting to the Material Control & Logistics Team Leader. The purpose of this position is to provide all aspects of material control for an offshore facility.

Flight and accomodation will not be provided for this role, therefore any applicants not living in Karratha will be providing own transport and accomodation for the duration of the contract.

The responsibilities include:

• Receiving Transport requests from Perth Material Controllers & allocating to dedicated supply vessels
• Receiving materials and inspect for transit damage
• Confirming materials arrived are as per Transport Request
• Attending supply vessel meetings to allocate the deck footprint requirements
• Verifying all rigging documentation is in place prior to load out
• Managing holding containers and transferring materials required to holding containers
• Managing project material being held at Kings Bay
• Facilitating cyclone readiness for project materials.
• Co-ordinating the hiring of cranage and equipment required on site
• Receiving backloaded equipment & materials as well as Transport Requests from offshore
• Focal point for all helicopter operations in vicinity of NR Complex
• Providing leave coverage as required within the Material Control section.

Essential Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have the following skills and experience:
• Hold a licence to drive 16 ton forklift
• Previous experience as a Logistics Coordinator within the Oil and Gas sector
• Demonstrated SAP Experience
• Experience with Material Tracking Systems
• Demonstrated delivery of exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to problems
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
