The Role:
This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Scope:
This position manages shipping and receiving of materials and personnel for Offshore / Onshore facilities. This role serves as Logistics Coordinator on small projects and provides direct supervision to a small team of logistics personnel, or as a Subject Manager Expert (SME) for the entire project.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Works with engineers, supervisors, service companies, onshore logistics, and operations to ensure the clients maintenance needs for the facilities are fulfilled
• Ensures that all materials and personnel are tracked to and from the facility and that all costs associated with project are captured when possible
• Supervises the loading and liaise with client logistics coordinator for offloading of vessels at the facility site, ensuring that materials loaded and offloaded match with the manifest for accounting and tracking purposes
• Coordinates with construction coordinators, supervisors / superintendents, construction and maintenance engineers, construction and maintenance managers, and operations to ensure that all materials and personnel movements are executed at facility site
• In coordination with the team, ensures that lessons learned and related recommendations are included in future programs
• Liaises with contractors and service companies to ensure that personnel, services, materials, equipment, etc. are available in quantity and quality as required for efficient and effective support of project activity
• Maintains good working relations with contractors and operations
• Monitors and implements risk reducing measures
• Takes immediate actions to safeguard personnel, assets, and environment in emergency situations related to construction and project operations
• Report to area superintendent about any potential or actual logistical problems or any significant deviations in the planned running of operations, with particular attention to the HSSE aspects
• Liaises with logistics base to optimize land, sea, and air transports, minimizing trips and optimizing shipping and handling of materials and personnel to support project operations
• Ensures that materials, equipment, and services are mobilized / demobilized in an effective and timely manner
• Tracks daily offshore costs for input into daily cost reports
• Inputs cost data into daily reports as required
• Mentors more junior team members
• Coordinate safe and efficient operations including:
o Support vessel activities to include the timely arrival of required deck/ bulk cargoes and provision of effective emergency stand-by support.
o Helicopter activities including helicopter arrivals/departures, personnel movements, offshore security, helicopter utilization/scheduling, and helicopter tracking.
o Material handling and movement
o Provision of administrative support to the Drilling operation as may be required
o Coordinate and monitor the movement of equipment/material to provide optimal and most cost effective support to the operation
o Monitor the provision of weather forecasting support to the operation
o Ensure that effective procedures and safe work practices are developed and deployed for all in-field Logistics activities
o Interface with other field installations and contractors as required to ensure effective utilization of Logistics resources and capacity
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support the client's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
•Well developed skills in operations (Offshore / Onshore)
•Experience in international operational and environmental logistics and operations
•Experience working in a multi-disciplined environment with Operations, Projects, Subcontractors, vendors
•Proven planning, coordination and cost management skills.
•Highly effective communication skills (written & oral) and be able to communicate using electronic medium. Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, leadership, and teamwork skills
•Detailed knowledge of policies and procedures related to specific accountabilities.
•Working knowledge of materials control & associated inventory management systems.
•Working knowledge of catering and accommodations management.
•Working knowledge of drilling and marine equipment.
•Ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
•Thorough knowledge of Control of Work Systems and Procedures.
•Proficiency in the use of business computer applications.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team in a high-performance environment
•May need to travel internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters

Working Conditions
•Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
•Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed
• Extensive related experience in the oil/petrochemical industry, preferably offshore or remote environment.
• HUET Certification is required
• Detailed knowledge of air and marine logistics.
