The Company:
The Client is a leading Company in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:

This Company are seeking to secure a Logistics HSE Supervisor for the major Project in Iraq. It is a large oil field to the North of Basra. The project has completed First Commercial Production and further expansion of the field is being started. This company are currently the operator for the existing facilities in the North of Basra. The design for the FCP phase, which involves greenfield and brownfield facility development, is well advanced and construction and upgrade to new and existing facilities is well underway.
The Logistics HSE Supervisor will provide support to the Logistics HSE Lead in ensuring Safety, Compliance and HSE Governance in support of all logistic operations within MFD.
In addition to day to day support the Logistics HSE Supervisor is required to provide risk assessment, planning, coordination, contractor management, oil spill response expertise, camp and facilities safety management and transport related incident investigation support for the operation, in particular the following:
• Works with the Logistics HSE Lead to develop the Logistics HSE Plan from the Corporate HSE Plan but including site specific actions.
• Assists with technical HSE support to the logistics team; identifying hazards/risks, assessing impacts, and working with the team to establish effective controls.
• Assisting all teams operating on development on logistics HSE risk management.
• Develops and promotes implementation of best practice and key learnings from incidents throughout the project.
• Guide contractors on logistics HSE management in order to meet company HSE expectations.
• Work with HSE Team on quality reviews of contractor Road Transportation Safety, Lifting and Hoisting Safety etc.
• Assists contract holders in the Logistics contractor selection and management process,
providing support for logistics related incident investigations.
• Supervises the logistics HSE team in order to uphold the companies Global Standards.
• Assist in the development of oil spill response capabilities.
• Assist in the implementation of all camp and facility HSE.
The incumbent will be based in North Basra. The primary accountabilities for the Logistics HSE Supervisor are to:
• Assist in establishing safe working conditions for the logistics operation and provide technical support to the Operations team.
• Supervise logistics HSE activities in preparation for the future logistics operations of the Oilfield development.
• Assist in developing Logistics HSE strategies and requirements, with Security requirements integrated, for implementation in current operation and projects for rehabilitation and re-development.
• Assist in the development of a Journey Management strategy with Security requirements integrated.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Logistics data systems, e.g. for IVMS, JM.
• Delivering HSE input to Logistics, Infrastructure and Resources Assessment (LIRA).
• Supports monitoring the logistical activities/requirements and performance metrics.
• Periodically report the status and performance.
• Supporting HAZIDS, Audits and Reviews in support of the assurance processes.
• Support the project plans for Local content, Sustainable Development ensuring that Logistics becomes an enabler for these priorities

• Be able to supervise and motivate a local national work force.
• Must be motivated and a self-starter with leadership abilities and a "can do" attitude.
• Promote the adoption and adherence to, and achievement of HSE standards.
• Must be an individual with strong interpersonal skills and emotional stability.
• Self-starter capability to effectively set and deliver against set priorities.
• Contractor Management skills and experience.
• Good communication skills both oral and written, including the ability to write effective reports.
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment over multi-locations.
• An HSE mindset.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
• The ability to influence others and change management experience will be vital.
• Skilled in Logistics and HSE management.
• An Outstanding understanding of English both Written and Oral.
• Good communication and facilitation skills.
