The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Plant Operations and Linefeed Leader What to expect:

The appointee will be responsible for the Logistics integration of manufacturing into an overseas facility, establishing project management responsibility for all aspect of Logistics including :-Logistics facility planning, pre-production material planning and control, vehicle pipeline planning, inbound material planning, vehicle scheduling, production control and finished vehicle distribution. Strategic planning Through leverage of UK based MP&L staffs on travelling basis as required :-

•Lead Logistics operational effectiveness studies of potential target partners Lead evaluation of material supply chains implications ( local & international sourced supply)
•Lead logistics facility design evaluation i.e. line side material planning
•Support Purchase to develop strategic sourcing plan
•Lead Logistics cost evaluation to support financial feasibility studies Identify key set up requirements for establishing the new facility and operations requirements through interface with IT, PD, and finance.
•Potential local Logistics LLP selection
•Manage / influence external Logistics sub-contractors or consultants supporting the team Operational
•The role will also focus on the Logistics planning integration within Slovakia including :- Information Technology integration, Vehicle planning, Pre-production material planning and change management, material planning and scheduling, production control and finished vehicle management

Skills Required:
•Candidates must be degree qualified, robust and capable of independent thought with sound analytical skills who must be able to communicate succinctly with senior management in and partner executive management
•Experience in Supply Chain operations & Project Management Activities
•Experience of managing Lead Logistic Providers and launching new logistics facilities & operations
•Deep understanding in Automotive or Manufacturing Industry
•Proficient in all computing, relevant business systems, including MS Office with capability to seek, assimilate & interpret complex data sets, then draw rational conclusions, develop recommendation papers and communicate with conviction and demonstrable rigour.
•Flexibility to travel abroad
•Ability to work with different cultures in a context-sensitive manner and respect local customs
•Experience of working in SLOVAKIA preferred
•Deep fundamental understanding of total company Logistics processes & project control disciplines with Quality process mind set.
•A keen understanding of key business drivers is important.
