The Role:
Opportunity to contribute to a leading Queensland LNG Project

Fircroft has been engaged to assist a global Oil & Gas exploration company to source a logistics manager. The primary function of this role will be coordinate the activities associated with inbound logistics, including tracking shipments from origin to final destination; ensure appropriate insurances are in place, updating cargo sheets and ensuring on-time deliveries, to avoid delays and storage charges at lowest practical cost on behalf of the platforms. Provide oversight of contractor logistics plan to ensure effectiveness, including capture of any opportunities for synergy.


Accountabilities will include:
• Coordinate shipments per established guidelines
• Schedule and track all shipments, internal and external
• Generate freight quotations; determining class, weight and cost
• Implement logistics management systems and take the lead in matters pertaining to international and local procurement and tender procedures, contracting, transport and asset management, distribution support and mandatory reporting
• Manage all commodity movements, including secure warehousing, inventories, delivery, distribution and end use supported with appropriate evidences and reports on commodity movements and problems encountered
• Supervise, manage and coordinate all logistics related activities from the technical and management point of view in a professional manner.
• Ensure the correct insurances are in place
• Regulatory approvals including customs clearance are adhered to
• Ensure effective communication contractors as appropriate
• Track movement of goods at any time and provide weekly reports on logistic activities
• Identify potential project change requests and provide information and data as required by the Project for change management.

Qualifications
• 3 Years relevant industry experience
• Oil&Gas experience
• PNG experience
• Time Management
• Effective communication
