The Company:
A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Expansion Development being fabricated in Korea across Geoje and Ulsan

The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for an experienced Logistics Manager to be part of a World Class Development.

• Responsible for liaison between Fabrication (S.Korea) and Project Logistics team
• Responsible for the daytoday Logistics Marine operations at the Fabrication Yards (Okpo and Shinhan in S.Korea)
• Responsible for the supervision of assigned Project Logistics Staff in Fabrication Yard.
• Accountable for:
• Ensuring the Vessel Contractor is complying with all Project’s safety and environmental requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with the Ocean Contract and Ocean Transport SOW

Required Skills/Attributes:

Experience required:
• working in medium to large teams in Shore Bases / Terminals or Marine Operations and/or marine transportation.
• marine planning and commercial operations.
• contracts/charter parties in a project or operations environment.
• cargo vessels, i.e., heavy lift or RO/RO as a Deck Officer, is preferred.
• Major Capital Projects and, specifically, Logistics is desired.

IT Skills:
• Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Ocean Shipping Manager in UK
• Provision of planning information to the Logistics Planning Team in UK, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis concerning planning, fabrication schedule, vessel schedule and activities.
• Management of Project Logistics personnel based in S.Korea or assigned to support Logistics activities in S.Korea
• Daily communication with the Project’s Fabrication Manager (in S.Korea), or designate, on current status, updates or changes in the Logistics Schedule.
• Ensure all activities are properly documented, logged and tracked to ensure documentation for billable expenses from Vessel Contractor
• Liaise with Fabrication Contractor, vessel and the Master to ensure all marine operations are conducted safely and address any conflicts with planned operations
• Perform sailaway inspections with the MWS and ensure all findings are followed up and corrected
• As directed, participate in the development of standardized marine policies and procedures for internal Project Ocean Shipping organization
• As directed, assist in development of performance measures to ensure a clear understanding of present performance against the contract and planning to allow early recognition of issues
• As directed, support Logistics optimisation activities
• As directed, involvement with HES and the Project’s Upstream Marine Authority on any vessel incident.
• Supporting the Logistics Planning team in risk management activities with updating Ocean Transportation related risks and assisting with the development and implementation of the required mitigation plans
• Provide marine expertise, advice, and recommendations to the Project management on matters directly effecting shipboard operations, maintenance, commercial and personnel in S.Korea
