The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
- Reporting to the Material Handling Manager and Logistics Shift Managers and directly responsible for circa 6 Team Leaders and 30 Associates, as the Logistics Process Manager you will be accountable to ensure the group's daily, weekly and monthly targets are achieved for Production, Quality, Cost and Safety
- You will also be responsible for all personnel within the group in relation to training, health & safety, absence management and company communication. You will provide the focal point and be the catalyst for continuous improvement, change and culture developments
- The position interfaces and liaises with a large peer group internally including SQA, Engineering, Product & Process, Logistics, Finance and HR.

Key Responsibilities

- Monthly plans, reports, standard meetings - Quality/Cost/Safety etc.
- Accountable for production achievements and directions.
- Responsible for training and developments of group personnel.
- Lead and control problem-solving activities to ensure effective solutions are developed in a structured manner.
- Take ownership for Health and Safety at Work - COSHH, risk assessments, ergonomics, near misses and accidents - support report making/make reports.
- Direct continuous improvement activities to achieve HPU targets, process and cost reductions.
- Liaise with product change teams to implement effective running changes.
- Control budgets costing up to £3.8 million per annum and develop cost awareness throughout the group.
- Execute monthly audits for 5S conformance compliance ensuring links to TS 16949 business systems.
- Inspect process documents and confirm compliance.
- Ensure all visual controls are up to date and communicated to the department standards.
- Morning meeting - health of Associates and follow-up.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous Logistics experience essential
- Experience/understanding of TS 16949 requirement for Logistics
- Experience of Health and Safety legislation in Logistics environment formal risk assessments etc.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- A related Logistics / Business / Engineering degree would be beneficial or equivalent industry experience.
- CILT membership would be advantageous.
