The Role:
The incumbent will be accountable for optimizing the Marine fleet through appropriate planning software systems, gathering and incorporating market data into forecasts, accountability for the Logistics Drilling and Production Assets budget, gathering customer demand data and updating DWOPs and creating LWOPS. Work in conjunction with Logistics Resource Planner 1 to provide a detailed scheduling and planning capability and Marine Operations interface.

Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:
Drilling Support Logistics
• Detailed Logistics Planning for wells/projects: Includes time to create the base logistics plan, updating of the base plan as the detailed planning progresses and attendance at ALL DWOP/CWOP events. For additional information, see attached spreadsheet for 12 month well activity forecast.
• Daily calls (attend rig team meetings if possible) to rig personnel for logistics requirements and issues (including weekends). Key Objectives: Identification of short, mid and long term project needs (3, 7, 14 day requirements).
• Identification of and tracking of rig-stranded costs (e.g. MWD/LWD, tools, operations).
• Track daily Logistics well cost against base plan, LWOP, AFE and report out on a weekly status. Include reasoning if actual well costs are exceeding base plan or LWOP.
• Prepare and present logistics portion of Wells AAR (After Action Review) and disseminate learning.
• Facilitate resolution of issues resulting from rig operational efficiency/marine operational efficiency (includes tracking of decisions for AAR).
• Provide logistics consultation for drilling initiatives; new mooring tech. Drill ship vs Floater analysis, bucking vs singles economics, Logistics of VSP Logging analysis, synthetic rope handling, materials management, terminal fit for purpose etc.
• Facilitate understanding of well dynamics and operations with Logistics personnel.
Marine Operations
• Active team player in an ICS (Incident Command Center) role; ex; oil spill drills, oil spills, hurricane evacuations and other emergency events.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings (not including daily drilling meetings)
• Daily calls for current activity/needs to offshore locations, Marine Focal Point, Load Planner, Voyage Control.
• Recording, indexing and evaluating spot hire request. Maintaining a database of the same.
• Analyzing the impact and/or advantages of new operating procedures. This can include spot vs. term, demand based vs. fleet, etc.
• Vacation Relief.

Direct/Indirect Reports:
Budget Accountabilities: 10 day plan, 90 day plan, annual budget, Identify inflationary factors to build into operating plans, analysis of market conditions

Education and Experience Capabilities:
Requires a Bachelor Degree from an accredited college in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of relevant experience in Logistics/Distribution. A minimum of 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.

Special Requirements:
Must be able to respond to emergency calls as needed and work extended hours as appropriate.
