The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist initially assist with planning of GPO AGT Region freight handling operations within Azerbaijan and Georgia with particular regard to the SCPX project and to then ensure that subsequent execution in Georgia and Azerbaijan is in conformance with the Freight Management Services contract’s HSE, Ethics and Operational requirements and in line with Client corporate policy; GPO & AGT RPU policies and Azerbaijan and Georgian National and International regulations and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

In conjunction with AGT RPU maintain ethical business relationships with local bodies such as Azerbaijan and Georgia Customs, Immigration and other state bodies such as State Oil, State Shipping, State Railways, Ministry of Transport etc

Develop and maintain ethical business relationships with local corporate entities such as port authorities, key transportation and plant providers, storage and handling service providers etc

Direct and oversee the day to day activities of the GPO AGT Region Logistics Specialists in Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Review Freight Management Contractor(s) performance against agreed KPI’s and Project HSE and Ethics standards.

Work with Freight Management Contractor(s) to ensure standards and service levels are maintained and ascertain areas of possible improvements.

Review Freight Management Contractor’s timesheets (if required) for their Georgian and Azerbaijan assigned personnel
Review Freight Managements Contractor’s third party tenders and requisitions for local purchases and services.

Review of Freight Contractor’s operations reports.

Overseeing customs clearances particularly application of responsible storage; dual use; tem and special license requirements; temporary imports; re=export from Georgia and Azerbaijan and resolution of any issues or concerns

Instigate route surveys and route modifications and improvement investigations and in particular the rail siding and rail spur upgrades and access to Sites required for SCPX.

Oversee the timely completion of all route modifications and upgrades.

Interface with SCPX Site construction, materials management and HSSE on planning and execution of all delivery activities.

Interface with Project personnel in Georgia and Azerbaijan on all delivery operational activities.

Hold weekly Operations Review and Look Ahead Meeting with Freight Management Contractor’s local management team.

Interface and coordinate with other AGT Developments activities particularly for river ship operations and abnormal load movements.

Participate in vessel pre-arrival meetings, critical operations readiness reviews and go-no go meetings

Assist with verification of FMC reimbursable charges.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Technical or Business degree
 HSE qualification

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
 Deep competency in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
 Oil and Gas industry major projects logistics experience
 Experience of working overseas with multi-national workforce
 Proven ability to effectively manage a team of professionals and to supervise heavylift operations
