The Company:
Our client, an international oil and gas major operator, is seeking a Logisitics Specialist.

The Role:
• Maintain current working knowledge of customs regulations and import formalities in primary host countries.
• Develop logistics standards and templates which will be incorporated with ITB documents.
• Identify synergies and leverage opportunities for contracting of logistics and transportation services.
• Lead logistics section of project procurement workshop.
• Align with Project Management and Business Unit regarding project logistics goals and objectives.
• Support Project Procurement Managers and Project teams with the development of budgetary quotes and logistics risk assessments during CPDEP Phase III.
• Assist project team in identifying logistics strategies, risks and mitigation plans during CPDEP Phase II and work with PPM to incorporate into Project Execution Plan.
• Promote export compliance and provide technical guidance to Project Teams.
• Actively participates in CPDEP Phases II and III to develop effective logistics strategies consistent with project goals.
• Develop conceptual logistics models based on unique project requirements.
• Align with Project Management and Business Unit regarding project logistics goals and objectives.
• Maintain awareness of current logistics environment and forecasted industry trends.
• Liaise with project teams in the engagement of local authorities to obtain tariff and tax concessions.
• Ensure alignment of logistic strategies with project goals and objectives.
• Champion selected logistics initiatives and the development of organizational strategies.
• Develop and refine logistics contractual requirements to be utilized in lump sum and cost reimbursable projects
• Other logistics related activities as required by the Project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering preferred. Minimum of 5 years direct experience developing and using sourcing and negotiation strategies to optimize commercial opportunities, including the development of framing agreements and major logistics services contracts. Experience in a logistics role for an oil and gas company or a major Services Company preferred. International experience preferred. Experience in material management, category management, or procurement may be considered, if the candidate can demonstrate general knowledge of procurement or supply chain management processes. Candidate must be internationally mobile and willing and able to travel and work in the US or in international project locations.
